New Tomato Soup Diet Plan

Do you know you can lose weight eating nothing but tomato soup? Maybe it could be the next big health and diet craze.

Not likely.

Kate is still only able to get liquids down. The white patch of thrush on her tongue is tenaciously clinging and not going away. Frustrating. She is soooo sweet about letting me put that yucky Nystatin on her tongue, but it doesn't seem to be doing mmuch good. I will ask them again today if there is anything else that can be done.

All I can say is "Thank goodness for tomato soup!"

hello! I've been a lurker for awhile now, but I wanted to make a suggestion about a possible thrush treatment. I spent a year volunteering at an orphanage in South Africa where many of our babies were HIV+, and thrush was VERY common! For particularly stubborn cases, we would use Daktarin gel. One of the lovely side effects of Daktarin is that it actually numbs the area a bit after you put it on, so we found that babies were often able to eat about 5-10 minutes after putting it on, AND it helps clear up thrush. Good luck!

Poor Kate. I hope this doesn't impact her release. I've been hoping you'd post improvements on her thrush.

Hi Karin,
Try making the soup with whole milk and adding cheddar cheese to it while it is hot. It will melt completely and really beef up the soup with protein and calories.

Glad to hear that Kate is at least still eating the soup. What a tramadic morning you both had! Praying that everything goes smoothly for your going home and that Kate is healed from the thrush.
