11PM update- Tue.

Kate is still the same--overall doing pretty much as expected. She is holding steady, still struggling a bit with her blood pressure and dumping too much fluid. Her fever has continued to go up to 102-103, so every time it goes up we pack her in ice. Her night nurse decided to try wet washcloths since Kate reacted to the ice by thrashing around and wouldn't stay on top of it.

The washcloths are much more comfortable for her, and seem to be working fairly well. Her back and head are still pretty hot, but the fever comes down to a manageable range with the wet cloths on her neck and under her armpits.

Sporting her neck cloth....

They have kept her pretty sedated today and will continue to do that through the night. Hopefully she will rest well. She rested pretty well all day today. Now it's my turn. :)

Thank you all for praying and for sending your locations! It was so touching to read your messages and to know that you were all taking the time to pray for a little girl whom most of you don't even know. THANK YOU!! I wrote down all the locations, but will also print your messages out when we get home. Blessings to all of you!

I will be holding your little one up in prayer tonight. God Bless. My daughter who is waiting for us in China just had open heart surgery a couple of weeks ago.

Good night Karin. I pray that tomorrow when you waken and go to see Kate, she will be holding her fluids and the fever will be broken.

I will keep praying for your little one! Keep the updates coming.

My name is Erica, and I just found your blog from a friend of mine who posted about your daughter today. This may sound strange, but I feel like I'm reading my blog! We were also in China in January, adopting a little girl with a serious heart condition. Our gotcha day was January 12 and we were in GZ the whole time. We came home on the 22nd and flew through HK as well.

Our daughter had Open Heart surgery on March 4th to repair a very large VSD and a cleft in her mitral valve. She also has L-type Transposition, which means her bottom two ventricles are reversed. She will need surgery for that sometime in the future.

Okay...enough about me, but I just wanted you to see how much we have in common :)I'll be praying for you guys (and you can write down Alabama on your list of states). My prayers will be specifically for Kate's health and strength and patience for you.

Our prayer blog is http://prayingforyouyou.blogspot.com, if you are interested...

Just wanted you to know that I am praying for your beauiful Kate. My son (also adopted from China) has a single ventricle. I know how hard it is to see her like this right now! I am praying you will feel Gods loving arms of peace and comfort and that precious Kate will be rid of feer, recover quickly and be home having fun again soon!

Blessings

I heard about your dear Kate, from the Simplicity blog.

I had a heavy heart today and something Beth Moore shared gave such encouragement, hope and faith in our loving Father who sees, understands, cares and moves.

I thought I would share it..for when you have a moment. http://sandeefamily.blogspot.com/2009/04/oh-my.html

2 Corinthians 1: 3-4… “God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”

Karin,
You updated so frequently, I guess I am spoiled. I keep checking it before I head to Greeley, but nothing. I am praying and fasting for God to move and do what needs to be done for Kate to come off the machines and get out of there!

I will have Dw checking for updates as I drive. He's not as likely to comment, but know that he is checking.

Love you sweet friend! xo
