2:45PM - Wed.

SaraGrace and I went to make a tile for Kate for the new hospital and were only gone a half hour but when we got back there was a cluster of doctors and nurses around her bed.

Her chest x-ray came back showing a lot of fluid collecting in the chest cavity near her heart. Two of her chest tubes had been draining into the same collection area, but they are now deciding that they need to be separated so that they will know how well both sides of her chest are draining. It got a bit intense for awhile but the doctor is happier now. They think this will work, but if not, they will have to put in another chest tube. (This would be very yucky.)

Her oxygen levels are lower than they want to see, so they decided to switch her from the regular nasal method to one that is warmed oxygen that pushes it into her with a bit of force. It should help get her oxygen levels up.

Please keep praying! She is fighting and has to be kept sedated or she gets really fiesty!

The kids and I prayed for Kate. I also emailed my Bible study group with an update. The gal at our church office is starting the church's prayer chain right now!

Still praying for little Kate across the pond, and hoping the effusions sort themselves out without the need for another chest drain. Stay strong - there are many people across the world praying for you and your little girl. XXX
