3:15 PM Update--Tue.

Nothing much has changed in the past few hours. Kate is fairly stable--just struggling with her blood pressure issues. She is still lethargic and that makes her nurse and myself a bit anxious.

Dr. Bove stopped by again so I got to talk to him. He is happy with her progress so far.

We are sitting outside PICU right now because they are bringing a baby in next to Kate and need to get the baby stabilized.

I was wondering if you would mind writing an email or leaving a comment on the blog telling Kate where you are (country or state or city--whatever you're comfortable with). I thought it would be neat for her to know all places the prayers for her were coming from. I know we have some coming from China and Australia, as well as the US, but I would love to know where

There are some really young couples up here with tiny babies. It makes my heart ache for them to be going through this at such a young age. I just talked to one mom who is waiting for her baby to come out of surgery but he has had some bleeding issues and the surgery has gone on 3 hours past the time it was supposed to. Their baby's name is Mason if you want to pray for him. He's 6 days old.

Hi there! I'm Lori and I live in Kansas. I've been praying since Lynsay posted about Kate on her blog.

I'm so glad little Mason is out of surgery. You are right, being a young mom would make it extra difficult. What a blessing you must be to those waiting anxiously! No doubt God is using you to extend His love to them.

Hi - I just found your blog from 'A Place Called Simplicity', and I'm in Cardiff, Wales, UK. The link didn't say exactly what your little Kate was having done, and I haven't read far enough back in your blog to discover her diagnosis, but my son Charlie has hypoplastic left heart syndrome, and will be having his Fontan surgery in the next 6-12months. He is five and a half. Feel free to check out his blog if you like, at http://charlieturner.blogspot.com
It is hard to see the pictures of your darling girl, and to think that we will be in your place before too long. Please know that we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers, and will be hoping that little Kate bounces back quickly, and will be back home very soon. With love, Alison xx (PS I'm looking forward to pink toenails too!)

Our Chinese adopted daughter went through open-heart surgery at Mott Children's Hospital April 23, 2008. It was only 3 weeks after we returned home from China. Please know that I'm praying for you. We live in Grand Rapids, MI. I have only HIGH praise for the staff at Mott's. They are the best.

I will be checking on your blog often. I have a cousin that works in the Cardiology Unit at Mott's. She runs the Child Life Activity Center. Her name is Mary Hurst. I've told her about your family.

Prayers and blessings to your family.

Hi Sweet Kate!
I know you won't remember us but we met you in China. Our whole family is praying for you to have a quick recovery. We loved your sweet smile in China and we can't wait to see it again.

When my daughter, Meili, sees your picture she points to it and smiles. She remembers that she's seen you somewhere before.

I'm sending lots of prayers and hugs to you, your Mama, and your Baba!

Kimberlie

PS - we live in Oklahoma

Hi, Kim K. told me about your little angel and hot to find you! I am in the Southeast near Vanderbilt!!! How's that for location?

I am also the proud Mommy to a China angel who also underwent open heart last fall at 35 months old. Her very first repair for her very complex but perfectly-created heart!!! She is our JOY!!! I know you know this--but you are BLESSED. These babies are so very special to our Creator and we get the blessing of being their families!!!

Oh, if you want to see my little miracle, hop on over to our blog (roomforatleastonemore (dot) wordpress (dot) com).

Thank you for sharing about your girl and if it is OK, I'll post a link to your site from mine. I'll be back to check updates. Oh and if you ever need to vent or just want to chat, Kim K. has my email. One of the things you mentioned about "dumping" makes me wonder if our girls had the same procedure done.

Well now I'm rambling and you don't have time to read rambling posts. Hugs and Prayers to you!!!
