Fabulous News! :)

The nurse practioner just stopped by to tell me....drum roll please...CHEST TUBE COMING OUT tomorrow morning!!! WOOHOO!!! :)

If all goes well, we should be able to come home on Thursday!

It's a good thing because I am starting to get goofy. Last night, the cycling of my sound machine seemed to be saying, "Elmo's got ma-il...Elmo's got mail." Yeah...I've been listening to waaaay too many Elmo DVD's.

I also think I am snorer-dude magnet material. A confession...I cannot STAND the sound of snoring. If you wanted to torture me into giving up a national secret, it would be to put me in a room with the sound of snoring 24 hours a day. I don't know why it bugs me so much but it just drives me nuts. Our new roommate came today and his dad has been lying on the bench snoring for HOURS.

Just. shoot. me. now!

Kate is napping but the minute she wakes up, we are going for a walk! Ack! Every nerve in my body is vibrating.

That is such wonderful news - I am so pleased for you all (especially little Kate!) To think the doctors were talking about 7-10 WEEKS before the drains could come out! What a superstar your little girl is! You have given us so much hope for our son, Charlie's Fontan. We'll be watching for updates! Well done Kate!

That's incredible news. I'm on cloud nine for you both!!! You and I are kindred spirits. I actually brought a battery operated sleep machine with me to China to block out any and all possible noises. Snoring literally puts me over the edge. Hugs.

Kim K--baahahahahaha....I took my sound machine to China, too. :) Our convertor quit working at one point and I was frantic because I HAD to be able to use my sound machine at night. :)

That's fantastic news!!

I'm not fond of snoring either...problem is, hubby is a snorer. *sigh* Thankfully, it's not every night...just once in a while (really loud...all night long). Somehow a snoring loved one is more tolerable than a stranger!

I don't know how to type a "happy dance" but that is what I am doing for you! Fabulous news!!

Sorry about the snorer dude!! It's almost comical that he would be a snorer....almost! :)

Love you, Meredith

OK, I would be so just not into the sharing room thing. I would not SLEEP A WINK even if the guy was not snoring. GROSS!!! Hope you get to go home with your sweet Kate VERY SOON!

Oh Karin! Such wonderful, and disappointing news all in one day. I know that as her Mama, you must be over the moon that your hospital stay is almost over. But also as her Mama, you are sad for things that she's not even able to be sad about yet.

You are so right though, God has amazing things for this little girl. She's such a beautiful witness to God's love and miraculous ways already. Her whole life right now is a testimony to this fact. How much more it will be in the coming years.

Yeah God!!!
Lot's of hugs!!!

Oh and on the snorer thing. I have one that sleeps next to me every night. Ugh. He now has a c-pap machine for apnea and its just as bad. Its like sleeping next to Darth Vader. The only way I can sleep well is to fall asleep before him and not wake up. If I wake up, I am done for.

I am so with you on the snoring!
