Not Good

Molly came home from school yesterday with a fever of 102, body aches, and a sore throat. Today she has been up to 103.5, coughing and too sick to do anything but lie around. Chloe was fine this morning, but this afternoon she got lethargic and when I took her temperature, it was 102.

They obviously have flu symptoms, as this is much more severe than a cold and came on very fast. It's too early for seasonal flu, but H1N* has just started hitting our area.

As soon as our doctor's office opens on Monday, I will be calling to see if I can get some Tam*flu for all of us--especially Kate and SaraGrace. I am trying not to get panicked, but obviously this is not good. Kate is more at risk than SaraGrace because Kate has compromised lung function as well as her heart condition. From what I have read, H1N* has been associated with a strain of viral pneumonia that penetrates deeply into the lungs.

We would so appreciate your prayers.

I'm praying for your family. I understand all too well the risks of this nasty virus with our SN kiddos. Last week I had visions of the hospital all over again with Miss Josie. HUGS!!

OH NO!! I will be praying for sure! I wish we lived close...I have two unused prescriptions of Tam*flu that we took to China! Can't you call your doctor and see if he would call in a prescription for you?

Keep me updated, OK??

Yes, I am going to call the doctor--actually, maybe I could consider this an emergency and use the answering service on the weekend. haha At the very least, I will call Mon. morning.

Thank you all for praying. I can FEEL the prayer because normally, I would be freaking out over this (a bit of a germ phobe).

Praying in Mn for your precious children. This flu can be very nasty. I think we got off easy.

Good idea to be knockin on the Doctor's door Monday morning- let us know how the kids are doing.

Bless you all!

From what I've read, it's the pneumonia part that's the most serious. Praying that Molly & Chloe heal quickly, and no one else catches it! Keep us posted Sunday if you can...

we had H1N1 in our house last week. It responds well to the tam*flu. My kids are obviously older but it went through very quickly.

Karin, we will be praying!

For those of you who have had H1N1...did you get tested or did you just go by the symptoms you had? I have been trying to decide about getting the vaccination. If we all end up getting the virus that Molly, Chloe (and now Jillian) have, I want to know if it's H1N1 so that we don't have to get the shot.

I would want to test and know, Karen, but chances are that it is H1N1. Still praying . Keep us posted.

How are the kids? Praying praying. Corrie had a super high fever and they called me just as I was reading this post yesterday, so I had to run and didn't get to comment.

Anyway, would love to hear how they are, and we are praying from here.

Love you
