Happy Summer Days

I love summer.

For me, 'it's the most wonderful time of the year." Yeah...Christmas is nice but you have to wear socks in December. And coats. And sometimes {gasp} hats and scarves.

Blech.

So. Back to summer.
Ahhhhh......
Flip-flops, sprinkler's, popsicles, lemonade.

It's our first week of summer vacation and we are lovin' it! After two days of 60 degree weather, it warmed up nicely yesterday and today.

{If it's above 50 degrees my kids start asking to run through the sprinkler.}

Yesterday the temperature was high enough, so they gleefully put on their swimming suits and set up the sprinkler in the back yard.

Put your right arm in and shake it all around...
"It's not that c-c-cold, Mom!"
Put your right hip in and put your right hip out...
Katie picked out this swim suit.
Wheee...so fun!
Childhood is a wonderful thing

Is it me or does she look like she's using one of those fancy bum cleaners?
Zoey's 'pros-other' foot held up well. She was delighted when her water-sodden sock started to make squishing noises.
Katie's tutu suit is ridiculously cute

When they got too cold to keep running through the freezing water, everyone ended up hanging out on the deck munching graham crackers.
Yum!
Big sister starts a toe-nail painting party
Lookin' good Katie!
SaraGrace chooses blue
And 'pros-other' foot gets a manicure too {and we need to scrub that foot!}
Waiting for her nails to dry
"Zoey...what do you think of your toe nails?"
Zoey's leg is starting to look like it has gone through a war. The girl is all-out-action all day long!

Jake was camera shy today, but he WAS there. And he actually went through the sprinkler
{as opposed to last year when he just skirted the perimeter and pretended to get wet}.

Ahhh...the fun days of summer. I love them, too. Isn't there a wedding coming up pretty soon?

I love your new blog header! It's been unseasonably cold around West MI. I'm surprised Jake didn't want to get into the nail painting action...hee hee.

We'll be flying high with Miss Josie's superhero party tomorrow. Looks like my batcave will have to be indoors in the sunroom. We have 80% chance of showers predicted for Saturday. Drat.

I meant to tell you on my last comment that I really like your new blog header! And the overall blog re-do is very visually appealing!!!

As for summer...well, you know my opinion on the weather but then again we don't get to experience days where going through the sprinkler makes you get goosebumps!!! That would be glorious!!! Here the sprinkler feels like bathwater so we just throw the kids a bar of soap and call it their shower for the day. :)

Enjoy!!!

LOVE the tutu suit. "Almost" makes me want another little girl. And the dirty other-foot is awesome! Good times.

How cold was it?--upper 90's here in AL.
I'm surprised Jake is sprinkler shy, I thought he was your wild man=).
I love the doors pic. I have a China pic I'm blowing up--a bike against a grey stone wall--the bike "wagon" is bright blue. It looks like it was photoshopped- but wasn't.
I'm not good like you, me and my cheap camera just got lucky.
