Adventures in Home Schooling

What has been happening in our home schooling adventure?

Well...

Instead of finding this little guy asleep with toys in his bed, now I find books.

Our seeds have started growing.
And growing.
And now we have had to transplant them into bigger pots.
The teenager scoffs at our amatuerish attempts and gives advice (but no useful labor).
For those of you who are experts, feel free to chime in with advice.

We know these need to be thinned but not exactly sure how much.

Last week, I scored a fabulous, $3.99 purchase at TJ Ma*x.
Ta-da!
Tiddledy Winks!
I thought the kids might get a kick out of them for 'recess' time.
You were already judging me, weren't you?  Wondering how they had any educational value?
Ha!
I guess you could say it improves hand-eye coordination.

I was not prepared for what a huge hit this game was!  They LOVED it!
Who knew?
I kind of love it, too.

If it gets played with for more than 10 minutes and better yet more than one day, best 3.99 spent, ever! Nice tip, I think I will go get me some tiddledy winks. Mostly because it's just so fun to say. :)

I'm super jealous of your prosperous seedlings! I just ordered my seeds...yesterday. BUT, it's okay because I plan to just sow the seeds right to my garden. I fail every single time I try to plant them in the house.

Anyway, I love that homeschooling seems to be going so great for you guys! We have hit that after-spring-break-brick-wall. SO READY for school to be OVER, yet we have a ways to go still.

Anyway, have a glorious Resurrection Sunday, friend!

Games have great educational value! Problem solving, cause and effect, and it looks like color recognition and even some addition in this game.
