Blistering Heat Wave

I am so very thankful for air conditioning today. There are many people in New England who do not have it.

A friend of mine and I decided to take our kids to the beach. We had a fun day, despite the nasty brown flies that kept biting us.

Here we are! Don't feel daunted by the sand and hill (haha). Getting all the kids and our gear over this in 100 degree weather almost made us a bit grumpy.

But on the other side....ahhh...what a view!

And this little guy was a good view, too! Jonah is Jake's buddy.

"Hey, Donah! Let's dig in da sand."

Kate pours water back and forth with great seriousness.

Jonah has a kiss for his Mama

Jordan is all intense with this squirt gun. He doesn't have new road rash on his left cheek, it's just chocolate chip cookie left-overs.

Landry very sweetly pulled Zoey around on the surf board

Lovin' the waves~

My beautiful Chloe

Kim's beautiful Katherine...Molly's best friend

Katie-bug looking so cute in her towel

Jake spends a lot of time running around with buckets of water whenever we are at the beach.

Enjoying some typical New England sights

Katie-bug trying to get the sand out of her hair...an unorthodox method to be sure.

This was taken while driving--not sitting in a hot spot. UGH. It actually went to 103, but the picture didn't turn out.

Everyone had fun and I am the only one sunburned. I am also the only one in my family who applied sunscreen. Sunscreen must cause sunburns. Should probably get it outlawed. hee...
