Mountain Climbing

A few days ago, it was gorgeous and we headed across the street to our very own rock climbing hill. It's just an empty lot where some rocks are piled up, but to the little kids they seem huge. I toted my camera because I have been wanting to get photos of each child...you know...since I passed up that great deal to buy a handful of badly posed school pictures for $70 each. And that day, it was Kate's turn.

So off we went...and here are the results.

Saying 'cheese' in a constipated-looking kind of way...

"I'd really rather be playing with these rocks."

"My cheek muscles cannot cope with this extended fake, cheesy smiling thing you are making me do."

"Hope you're satisfied with this one mom, 'cause that's all you're gonna get today."

Meanwhile, Jake makes it to the top of the 'mountain.'

And of course, his shorts are on backwards--as usual. When we tell him they are on backwards, he says, 'No, dey not." Sigh....Whatever. He's the 10th kid--why fight it?!

"TA-DA!"

Best Buddies--at least for the moment

Cheesy smile, but oh-so-cute.
